“With yellowed hair and dangling locks, they live in contentment and joy.”— Peach Blossom Spring by Tao Yuanming
Jin Ye, head of the conducting department at the China Conservatory of Music and chief conductor of the Huaxia Traditional Music Orchestra, offers the audience a serene and profound journey through mountains and seas. As a leading figure among China’s new generation of conductors, Jin makes his conducting debut with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra presenting masterful works inspired by Nature: South Sea, Seeking Dreams on West Lake and Song of Qiuci, each brimming with vivid imagery and emotional depth; and Co-Principal Huqin and Principal Zhonghu, Mao Qinghua, is the Eco-Erhu soloist in the tranquil refuge of Peach Blossom Spring.
